Speakeasy Toastmasters held their Tall Tales contest on March 30th. The Tall Tale is a short humorous speech with a twist at the end. All seven contestants, John Dillon, Dermot Meaney,
Pat Duggan, Jerry O’ Callaghan, Michael Cronin, Vivienne Buckley and Mary Buckley entertained the audience with their amusing contributions. The winner of the contest was
Jerry O’ Callaghan, who goes forward to the area final which will be held in Fermoy, while
Vivienne Buckley came second. Ray Ryan Jnr chaired the contest, while Anne Buckley had a varied and interesting selection of topics for those not taking part in the contest.
